Mälarföreningen is a Swedish non-profit association for cultural exchange that was established in Stockholm in April 1984. It works particularly to encourage mutual understanding between people of different cultures and nationalities.  The activities it sponsors are of a typically educational character.

Mälarföreningen is not connected with any particular political currents, but bases its activity on the general Christian view of the human person.  Its activities are open to all people regardless of their religious or political views.  

For its financing, Mälarföreningen depends on the generous donations of its own members as well as those of other people and institutions.
